Tuesdays with Morrie

One key point made in Tuesdays with Morrie was "Once you learn how to die you learn how to live." I personally found this quote to be very relative to people's lives today. In our Nothing assigenment I personally found this to be very true. For example,  as I looked around while I was doing nothing I saw everyone running around in my gym class. I realized that they really were ignorant to the world around us and that they had know idea of how to live the perfect life and I did not either. In addition, this quote can relate to everyone's life because people never can tell the success of their life when they are living. However, I feel that as they die their life flashes before their eyes and they notice all of the important moments in their life and they learn if their life was a success of a failure and what they did that was right or wrong. Therefore, the quote "Once you learn how to die you learn how to live," is very important to everyone's life.

  1. I also really liked the quote "When you learn how to die, you learn how to live." I agree that many peoplec an't tell the success of their life while they are living.

  2. I agree with your point that we are all ignorant on how to live. In so many thigns in life peopel tell us who the perfect person to be is: teh straight A harvard grad, or teh star athlete. But no one ever says "here look at this person this is the perfect life be exactly liek tehm adn live like them"

  3. I agree. People don't know how to live. We need to take the time to slow down and try to understand our surroundings. We need to be a little more sociologically mindful.

  4. I both agree and hope we are right. I hope that when I am about to die I will be able to see all the important things I have done in my life and see why they were important. Now, my life seems jumbled and confusing, but I think your right that I'll understand why it was important in the end.
